The city of Atlanta, GA (Metro Atlanta as well) was practially shut down up until today. The rain began Saturday 09/19/2009 and really didn’t end until Tuesday 09/22/2009. Over 100 secondary roads (surface streets) were covered with water and impassable. Some major interstates were shut down as well. There were several deaths reported. Schools and businesses were closed. People were without power and (ironically) water for a few days. A whole lot of people had water damage to their homes and didn’t have floor insurance. Let’s just see how the Federal ENFORCEMENT Management Agency (F.E.M.A.) handles this one. Read more from the TRUE SOURCE.

Kim Kardashian - Sexy Blond
This new look is hittin’ on all cylinders. It’s a great change of pace and might do a lot for her longivity. Now if she could’ve done more to help out Reggie Bush’s longivity in the NFL….

Government Motors
General Motors or is it Government Motors
President Obama’s administration is taking a page from George W. Bush. Mr. Bush took the country to war under false pretense. Basically his administration did what they wanted to do. He went down in history as the worst president ever. Mr. Obama did what would be considered a hostel take over of GM. That in turn makes the citizens owners of GM. The next time a chic ask me what I do, I’m going to be like, “I’m a silent owner of General Motors.” LOL

Don't You Know Who I Am????
From having a reality television show on A&E to this. We can all agree that the economy sucks donkey balls. However, on the financial side of things, you have to understand how money works. You have to know that somewhere along the lines there will be a rainy day. Some people have weathered the stormy weather. Foreclosures have become common place. If you have a big name, you probably will be able to get away with not making a payment for a year or two. In the real world where Ruth and Rufus dwell, you only get up to 3 months worth of non-payment before that ol’ bright orange eviction notice is stapled to the front door.

Hey man...is that needle sharp?
One half a century of games (50 games that is). That’s the suspension and punishment for doping up in Major League Baseball (American League, that is). Damn Manny! WTF MAN! What happen to using food for energy? I guess those are days past gone. Anyway, this one here will have to do a whole lot to regain/earn the respect of the fans. I’m sure there’s more dopers out there…they haven’t been caught yet. Keep your ears to the street. I’m sure there’s more to come. Read more from THE TRUE SOURCE!

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN.....!
They still haven’t found this mad man. They found his red Jeep Liberty that was pushed off a cliff. They found his “cell phone” that was inside of the jeep. They found his passport. The plane he had a ticket for flew off to the Netherlands without him. All the elements to trap him seem to serve as a decoy. Sounds like a white version of the “courthouse” shooter Brian Nichols. Except, he hasn’t been caught.

Chrisette Michelle
One would argue that certain aspects of R&B died with Aaliyah on August 25, 2001. Outside of Mary J. (the Queen), Beyonce, and now Keyshia Coles, there hasn’t been many female R&B signers who had that staying power. I mean the power to have hit songs that are well put together. HIStory has shown us that one hit wonders, pretty faces, and has beens come a dime a dozen. Please note, I’m not speaking on the Neo Soul or anything along those lines for those getting ready to battle me on this one.
In comes Chrisette Michelle. I remember first hearing her on Jay-Z’s song, “Lost One” off of his “Kingdom Come” album. She wasn’t sing-talking. She was singing! He voice was refreshing and a break from all those who sound like each other. However, I didn’t purchase, Limewire, or iTune any of her music. There was this chip on my shoulder concern the state of Hip Hop and R&B a that point. I was loosing my frickin’ mind with all the bullshit that was being played on the radio. I went back to the lab and began diggin’ in the crates. I was playing a bunch of 1990’s joints by Aalyiah, Brandy, Mary J., MolesteR. Kelly, etc. On the Hip Hop side it was Wu-Tang Clan, Illmatic, N.O.T.O.R.I.O.U.S. Big, Craig Mack, Ice Cube, etc.
Ok, so the other day in the early AM my High Def was on the VH1 channel; watching me sleep. I though I was dreaming. I heard that refreshing voice again. I finally woke up. Chrisette’s “Epiphany” video was on. As a recovering music junkie, I found my fix again in the R&B region. “Epiphany” is the vibe that I’ve been waiting for. The lyrics along are though provoking and the beat has all the right elements to keep the song on repeat.
“So I think I’m just about over being your girlfriend”, is part of the chorus. I’ve never heard a woman make that statement. That line alone blew away Beyonce’s “Put a ring on it” anthem. Support this one here. When her album drops, it will be the first CD hat I purchase since 2002. This coming from a person who use to purchase 4 to 5 CD’s a month. Yeah, music has been that that jacked up for me…!

Mexican Swine Flu
First there was SARS that spreaded from the Guangdong province of China to rapidly infect individuals in some 37 countries around the world back in 2003. Now here in 2009 there’s the SWINE flu going on down in Mexico. An it’s Spring time. WTF is going on? The answer to a popular question…no it has nothing to do with the consumption of pork. The new strain was confirmed in Canada, Spain, and the United Kingdom and suspected in many other nations, including New Zealand, with over 2,400 candidate cases, prompting the WHO to raise their pandemic alert level to 4. Where did all of this come from.
